Chelsea have been knocked out of the Champions League after losing 2 – 0 to Real Madrid (AGG 4 – 0).
The exit from the UCL means the Blues have no competition to fight for before the official end of the season in May.
To make matters worse, Chelsea are currently 11th on the Premier League table and will face an uphill task to finish in Champions League slots for next season.
In fact many football fans are predicting Frank Lampard’s boys could be in a relegation battle come the end of season. Owner Todd Boehly is a frustrated figure at the club. After investing £600 million on new players, nothing has changed so far and it’s ending to a disappointing season for the Blues after spending so much money. The new players have failed to impress, the old ones are struggling to impose themselves… Which begs a serious question.
